The BugScan (B) sticky traps are available in two sizes, 25 cm long by 10 cm wide and 40 cm long by 25 cm wide. A grid has been printed on one side of the sticky traps. The 40 x 25 cm model has squares of 5 x 6 cm, the smaller one (10 x 25 cm) has squares of 2.5 x 2.5 cm. These squares facilitate counts, as it may not be necessary to count the whole sticky trap.

For monitoring, 25-50 plates per hectare should be used. For use as an effect way of control, e.g. in hot spots, at least 10 plates per 100 m² are used. BugScan is an effective method of detection and monitoring in both vegetable and ornamental crops. In mushroom cultivation they can effectively control mushroom flies and/or mushroom sciarids.
